Discover How to Stand Firm & Love Well
in a Culture of Compromise…
The upcoming Church-wide Lenten Study will look at the prophet Daniel, who persevered in a corrupt culture and emerged as an influential force in God’s redemptive plan for all. The selected study is The Daniel Dilemma: How to Stand Firm & Love Well in a Culture of Compromise by Chris Hodges. We hope & pray that everyone who takes part in this six week study will see how we, like Daniel and Jesus, can influence the world around us as we relate to others, serve with compassion and reflect the love of an unchanging God to an ever changing world. Pastor Chris Hodges offers fresh insights and practical ideas to encourage Christians struggling with their cultural reality to hold God’s standards high and to keep his grace deep – just as Jesus did, and just as his followers today are called to do. (The Daniel Dilemma)
We will begin the week of February 18th and conclude the week of March 25th. The study includes: weekly readings/questions, small groups which include DVD teaching by Chris Hodges and Pastor Michael’s sermon series.
Small group sign-ups will begin soon. Books will also be available at the same time for you to pick-up. Please contact Addie Maxwell at 708-1758 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in hosting a small group or have any other questions/inquiries.
Prayerfully consider being a part of this study and more specifically a small group this year. Each year the prayer is that many will take advantage of this short term study…to get to know others within their church family, spend time in God’s Word intentionally and that no matter where you are on your spiritual journey…you will come to know and love God more then you did before. All are welcome!
